yep... sometimes i catch them around docks also
lots of public docks and nobody is on them
here is a pick of my first tarpon ever and it was on fly

all tarpon revived and swam off just fine even though some local kids wanted them

Nothing fancy I just use a single piece of cheap 40# mono. If it last longe enough the bigger ones sometimes break through. I also horse them up on the beach as landing them in the water is harder than they make it appear on TV

I'm assuming those are Grand Cayman Poons and not Georgia ones. Would seem the water has cooled a little around these parts the last few days for them to still be around.
