The Alaska Chronicles: Miles Nolte

Just finished reading this book by Departure Publishing. Definitely worth checking out. I wrote up a review for Bent Rod Media's blog. Sorry for the link but too many words to post.

I read this book about a month or so ago after seeing it in a fly shop in Austin. I absolutley loved the book. Well written and entertaining. I would highly recommend it. It might make you look differently at your guide the next time you go fishing with one.

Definitely worth picking up. A great read on the drake and even better without having to wait for the next installment.

I followed along at the drake as well. Picked up a copy when the flyfishing film tour was in Austin. Got to meet Miles and tell him how much I enjoyed that summer following his adventures. Great book.

Alaska Chronicle Question

I just happened across this thread. Late to the party with a question, I suppose. Loved the story, but it raised some questions when I read it. Hoped someone here may know the answer. From the book, it sounded like Nick left midway through his last season. Do I have that right? If so, anyone know why he left early?
