Appalachian Slam

I fished some wild water today. I was hoping for some more rains and I was going to go to some larger water and toss streamers. It stayed mostly dryish, so I changed my plans and was rewarded. Almost all fish came on nymphs.

Very cool! As much as I have fished I cannot think of a stream I have fished that held all 3 in close enough proximity to get all of them in one trip. At least without driving. Not that I am complaining it just seems to be only 2 per stream for me.

No big secret but, fish Cataloochee between Palmer Creek and Rough Fork, you can do it in three casts.

John,
How did Saturday work out or was this the decision for Saturday?

Rip, Saturday was tough. The water wasn't high, but it was real dirty. I'd say visibility was about 8 inches. I caught a few sunfish and had one LDR on a 4-inch bass. I'll have to go back when the conditions are a little better. I just fished the rocks above the bridge. Did not have time to explore further upstream.
