Cherokee Fun!!!
Since I had to miss out on the competition this last weekend, I was itching to give the catch and release section in Cherokee a try.

Got a late start from Clemson, but made it on the water by about 9am after getting my permit. Water looked great! Flow was excellent and clarity was great as well.
Simply put it was one of those incredible days of fishing... I definitely got my "big fish fix" that I was looking for.

I'll shut up and show the pics...

Brookies everywhere... landed probably 20 or so... all over 14-15 inches or so..


A lot of these...


Big fish of the day was MASSIVE... maybe one of the new Donaldson Strain fish...

Looks like a great day. A better than I had Saturday getting rained on in the Valley.

Still have yet to get up there and try that water. Great looking fish. I need to do that sometime. Maybee when it gets real cold.

Cue the theme from Jaws here. Seriously, I've got to get up there soon, maybe camp overnight. It's a bit far for a daytrip for me, so I haven't been yet.
