Duke's Sulphur Nymph Tutorial Video

Well it's my first video, hopefully they'll get better each time but you'll get the gist anyway.

Josh...honestly I applaud you for doing this...but one suggestion would be to find a way to have the camera in front of you ....in other words ...we're lookin at the fly backwards if that makes sense?

nice pattern and video, but its hard to see a dark pattern against a dark beard.

point the camera at the fly. at fly tying shows, we all watch tyers from the other side of the table so thats not too much of a problem.

maybe add another light from above.

just my 2 cents

Nice video Josh, decided to try and tye one up. Took it to the Smith River this afternoon and the browns loved it. Caught eight browns on it. Changed the color of the dubbing up a little to a lighter brown. You were right on making it as bushy as possible. Thanks again.

Nice video, it was good to see how you did some of the various steps in the tying of the fly.

Next suggestion......rubber legged nymph of some type.....(I can't ever get the legs on mine to turn out right).

Cheers,

Chris B.

Josh:

Fine video!!!

As others mentioned, it's just a bit difficult to view the tying of the fly. Still a great effort!!!

I believe your running narrative while tying the fly was mighty fine. You've a very good voice.

Best wishes for your future videos!!!

Like the video. Can't wait to try one on the SoHo. It should do well, it seems to be a more simplified version of the splitcase.

Thanks for sharing Duke. Plan on tying some up later tonight. This fly, along with your cdc comparadun, will be in my flyboxes. I like the split case effect this fly has. Ought to be a dandy. Thanks again.
