The 2008 Fall Show is being held on the banks of the South Holston River October 3rd, 4th and 5th. We will be camping on Juddie Mottern’s Farm which is located on the river at the mouth of Beidelman Creek. Excellent fishing will be less than a cast length away from our tents… The cost for the weekend will be $40 per person. This covers camping for 2 nights along with 4 meals (Friday supper, Saturday breakfast, Saturday supper and Sunday breakfast). Early arrivals for Wednesday and Thursday will incur an extra fee of $5 per person per night for camping and fishing.
Ralph (Outdoorguy3) will be the Straw Boss for our Fall Show. He has been in St. Louis for the past three weeks (no computer) taking care of his Mother and Father who are having some serious health issues. I am making this post on his behalf. JT would have done it but in case you haven’t heard…..JT will be offline for a while.
We will post directions to the show in the next week or two and we will also line up some in house guides for anyone wishing to learn more about the SoHo. Excellent trout and carp fishing are available at the camp site. There are also numerous access areas that are fishing great …. Plus, it will only get better. Don't forget that we are also 30 minutes away from the Watauga River and those small streams in the Shady Valley / Damascus area.
As information for our lady campers, I have two showers at my fishing house that will be available (1/2 mile from camp site). There is also the Hillbilly hot tub located at the camp site.
I wanted to give everyone a heads up so you can finalize your plans. This promises to be a fun weekend . Please go ahead and let us know if you're coming so we can get a head count.
Details on who to send money to and the cutoff date will follow...landlockednow offered at the Smallie Show to be responsible for collecting and keeping up with deposits. I am waiting to hear from him.
