Favorite Reel Company?

The rod thread has me wondering....

Personally, I am a Lamson addict. Have 3 so far, trying to justify a large arbor for the 2 weight now.

Rats. I tried to vote twice but it wouldn't let me. Based on number of reels it would be Hardy for my bamboo rods, the earliest reel being a late '20s Uniqua, and for my graphite rods it would be Lamson. I think for the price and quality it's hard to beat the Velocity series. Good thing the question wasn't about the best reel company. There are a lot of companies putting out excellent reels and it's just a matter of taste what someone's favotrite is.

I put 'other'. Love those Charltons but can no longer find them at an even somewhat good price. Still, they're very hard to beat in every way imaginable.
Next in line Hardy, Ross, Dan CompOreel, Bauer, Lamson...

after fishing a Hardy JHL( I always get the H&L mixed up)and Orvis CFO's for years,I've started using the Lamson Velocity.I agree with Spruce, for the money they are hard to beat. I picked up the 1.5 ,liked that and then picked up the 2 and liked that.Recently bought the 1 but haven't had a chance to fish it yet. Have a Tibor Spring creek that's gatherinhg dust ,along with my Bauer's and Ross's.
Best,
Steve

Favorite Reel

For me, nothing sounds or feels as nice as a Hardy. Sage is next, then Ross.
