A Few Notes for this weekend

I have had a few questions about this weekend so I thought I would post some general info for all this weekend's L&T attendees.... Looks like we are going to have a Big turnout

** Where is the Hotel?

The Courtyard is located on W.T. Harris Boulevard in the University City area of Charlotte... It is less than a 1/4 of a mile East from the I-85 Interchange. (Exit 45) Coming from the North ( Raleigh Greensboro) you will take the second exit.

Coming from the south (from Charlotte) on I-85 you will take the first exit.

Here is a link to the Hotel and an area Map...

http://local.yahoo.com/info-29472100...otel-charlotte

** Where to eat??

McCullough Drive area

The area is blessed with a slew of good dining choices from fast to fancy. Right beside the hotel there is a TGI Fridays, Chili's and Cheddars (good food reasonable prices) the are other choices the farther you go up McCullough to HWY 29

J.W.Clay Blvd area

Across the street by the Hilton, there is a Smokey Bones BBQ, in that same area is a Mexican Cantina (Zapatta's)

The Walmart Shopping Center has a Max and Erma's, Taco Bell, Chick Filet Plenty of choices...

About 4 miles North on I-85 (exit 49) is Concord Mills Mall and the Bass Pro Store. There are more places to eat than you can Name

** When will the room be available?

I have been informed by the Hotel that they have the meeting room scheduled from Friday Morning until 2:00 p.m.

Check-in time at the Hotel is 3:00 they will try to have the tying room ready by then they said by 4:00 they should be good. I will verify again this afternoon.

** When will everyone start

There is no set schedule for the festivities to begin. History has shown the the evening usually starts around 7 p.m. and starts building from there and will last unitl ???

Swap Meet

There will be a table set up for those of you who would like to bring gear for sale or trade. Please tag your gear with your name so if someone is interested in trading or purchasing your item they know who it belongs too.

Also there will be an area for the swapping of tying materials... doesn't matter what it is, foam, feathers, fur... if you have something to share feel free to bring it by.... You do not have to contribute to the kitty to take a freebie or two or four, but it would be nice if you did......

Look forward to seeing everyone this weekend... and meeting some new folks...if there are any other questions feel free to contact Streamer or myself...

Jule feel free to add anything I may have missed.....

Are we there yet.....

Bob....you might want to remind folks that they can bring a few snacks or those of us hard core coffee drinkers could bring a coffee maker and supplies......also some folks might want to bring an extension cord and power strips for tying lamps. What I can bring is going to depend on wether I get thru the house before coming up or wether I have to drive the big truck to the hotel can't wait!!

Snacks are a good thing

Easy on the coffee pots... I think Jule is planning on bringing one with some coffee ( correct me if wrong bud) I don't think we need 15 coffee pots as outlets will be a precious resource..

I am bringing some extension cords and a couple power strips.

The Hotel is also going to provide a few.

Question. I'm looking to come down Sat. Will folks be milling about all day or are you opening and closeing the room as needed? I was looking at coming down around noonish, but can't stay too late. I'm starting an additional run at work on Sunday and would rather not be dead tired all day.

Folks will be hanging around all day, in and out.

Most folks pack up their stuff late Sat. night or early Sunday morning. We try to clean the room before we leave on Sunday prior to checking out.

Tom-
unless you require an intraveinous drip, I don't think we will need the coffee pot but the extension cords will be great.. make sure you put your name on them somehow....

Thanks for the help
