I see greatfeathers.com sells them in 6X and 10X. Which have you used for those shown here?

I was lookin this morning and could only find 6X and 8X long. I'm curious what the strenght of the hook is being that long?

The streamers shown were tied for a gentleman in upstate NY who was going to frame them in a coffee table he was making.

I tied those on a #1 6x Long a very strong hook,
they look better for a presentation.

They would work very well as a trolling fly.

On flies that I fish I use #4 and # 6 6x long. in that style of hook.

I think for featherwing streamers they are better.

For bucktails I like Mustads # 3665A

Brk trt, ever try your hand at classic Atlantic salmon flies? I see alot of similar elements in your flies, and you have a good sense of proportion. I started messing with them again last winter when it was entirely too cold to be out. I'm not very good at it, but it is an interesting thing. Regards, Scud
