Woke up this morning with one thing on my mind, I have to catch my first trout on the fly rod today. The weather was wonderful this morning with just enough chill in it to remind you that fall is indeed on the way. I get everything rigged up and make my way to the water. I started making casts with the usual results, nothing. I talk to a gentleman who says he was having some luck on various nymphs so I switched up my rig and go on up a ways and start casting in a pool. Another gentleman walks up and starts fishing the same pool I thought no big deal. Well finally I get a strike and not to long after I have a small brown trout in hand and released. This was just the start of things to come. I think I finished with either 30 or 31 trout. Almost all of them were brookies. Nymphs seemed to do the trick today. This was one of the fish and about the average size that I caught today.
