My wife and I will be heading over to the Bryson City/ Nantahala area next Monday for a couple of days to wet a few flies.

I would appreciate any knowledgeable input as where to fish.
I am hoping to put her on some nice trout . She loves to fish , but is not very good at catching them .

We are flexible as to exactly where to stay. We will be in a motorhome.

Delayed Harvest came in Oct 1 so the upper Nantahala and Tuckaseegee DH is a good option. Cherokee has the new fly fishing only section. You will need a tribal license on the reservation. Most water in the Smokies has trout. The farther you hike in the better the fishing generally is. Try to get your NC license at a decent fly shop and ask some questions.

I had been thinking about the DH on the Nantahala or the trophy section near Cherokee.

We do most of our fishing in TN and the out west every summer for a couple of months. Just wanted to try some in NC while we were in the area
