Good Pub in Brevard?

It's been awhile since I've been able to get away and do some fishing but the last time I was out my buddy and I got a powerful thrust for some good beer and we could not find a good place to stop in for a cold one in Brevard. Before anyone answers, let me go ahead and say that I am a beer snob. Any good ideas?

Try Ed Budreaux Bayou Barbecue (dont know if I spelt any of that rite, dang Acadians). Never bought a beer there but the food was good and it looked like it might have a few decents on tap.

I like to throw a 6-pk pf Busch Lt cans in the streams and then pull it out and chug them all at once after a day of fishing - just like they do in the commercials.....only they always seem to have lots of hot young women around, and I never do.
The beer tastes even better if you get the camo cans or the old legends of nascar racetrack cans.

Good beer

I am also somewhat of a beer snob. Last time fishing in Brevard we stopped at evey bar in town in search of good beer. Most of the bars had some good choices, I'm an IPA fan myself. The Irish pub (Dugans?) I think Is at the bottom of a hill in a new building in town, shouldn't be hard to find. They've got the best selection and good food as well.

Square Root is more restaurant than bar (does have bar seating though), but has good food and beer selection. Have heard good things about the Irish Pub (Dugans?) as well.

Check your pm's, Rich. I haven't forgotten our wild-goose chase around Brevard for a good pizza and beer pub. It's a college town, for pete's sake (albeit maybe a bit more "cultured" than some)! Oh, well, the bbcue and iced-tea at HawgWild was great, too. Next time let's fish the Tuck and check out one of those pizza/beer joints in Sylva.

Thanks for the replys, I'll have to check out the Irish Pub next time I'm up there. It seems good beer is easier to find now, even the Esso Club in Clemson has Fat Tire and Redhook on tab, and the Esso is known for cheap beer. To me, there is nothing better than a great pint of ale after a day on the water.
