We were at Hunting Island about a week ago. I had my back to the water for a second and my wife screamed. She swears she saw a tarpon jump about 200yds off shore. People catch them around Beaufort at the right times. If anyone would like to try with me...? Maybe we can get a Beaufort slam.
A true Beaufort slam is a pinfish, croaker, sea robin and lizardfish.

Off our dock it's a whiting, a sting ray and a snagged crab.

I done that And once even added a sand perch to the mix.it is the height of fly fishing prowess to get a Beaufort GS. The pinfish are easy but some folks go a lifetime hunting and praying for the elusive sea robin.

Thats a little out of bounds, but no offense taken....let's just say that I am continually thankful for all the experience that hard work and good fortune have provided me. My girlfriend has been known to say "you are absurd" more than a few times.

In response to a previous post about Boca Grande/Raton...its definitely Grande....opiod medicines have a tendency to blur reality. Raton is probably more know for catching tans and tax breaks....
