OK, based on the feedback, we will hold Left Behinds 2009 on Nov. 6-8 at the KOA on Big Cove Rd. in Cherokee, NC.

We are still waiting to see if PCole can get us a group rate, but y'all can start your planning. It looks now like we will do like last year, and do both the lodges and the Kamping Kabins. Each attendee will be responsible for arranging and paying for their own accommodations, just let me know what you're doing. We need a headcount by Nov 1, so we can buy the food.

We will have 3 group meals, Fri. and Sat. Supper, and Sat. breakfast. Location of the mess tent and campfire will depend on the weather and where most of the people are. For the past several years, meals have cost $20/person. Even with inflation, I do not see that going past $25/person. Our Royal Feast of deep fried turkey, with all the trimmings, is actually pretty cheap.

We will be fishing the Nantahala, the Tuck, and various streams in the park. If you don't know where to go, just buddy up with someone that's been there before.

I would definitely like to go to this, however I would need to ride with somebody from the Charlotte area. I had the mis-fortune of getting pulled over after a few beers and have temporarily lost my drivers license, (not fun). If anyone is going on this trip from the Charlotte area and has room for me, I would love to go. I will pay for gas.
