Left Behinds Work Items
OK, we've got 3 weeks to get this together. Who's bringing what and who's doing what? We need 2 suppers and one breakfast, clean up, and a few other odds and ends. Those of you who have been to one of these gatherings have a pretty good idea of what's needed. At this point we have 17 participants signed up. There's room for a few more, if anybody is following these threads but hasn't spoken up.
I can cook breakfast on Sat. if we have two experts to do the evening meals. Last year Pcole deep fried a turkey, but so far, this year, I haven't seen any on sale. Our only real group expense is the meals. I keep telling people about $20, but last year, I think it came to only $12 or $15. I'll let you know once we get there, and can total up our outlays, but it won't be any more than $20.
Sorry, I haven't been keeping up on this. I let the election distract me too much. Here's what I have so far:
phg: 2 big pots, large frying pan, some utensils, 4' table, lantern, 10x10 canopy.
Pcole: coleman stove, lantern, firewood
OB: 10x10 canope, folding table
Flychamps: Lantern, stove, propane cylenders
Billres: coffee pot
Phil: 10x10 canope, cornbread for chilli
Meals:
OB: Chilli-spaghetti
Pcole: Fried Turkey?
phg: Sat. Breakfast (grits, eggs, sausage)
Riverman: cleanup (one time)
Flychamps: sou chef
others as needed
Ralph is willing to loan me the big cook stove, but I have to get over to Apex to pick it up. If I get the stove, I can borrow his coffee pot too. I'll bring a can of coffee and some 1/2 and 1/2. I have plates, bowls and plastic ware left over from last year. What else do we need?
