Thoughts and recolletions

Great time as always!

Got a late start but Streamer and I arrived only one hour later than planned.

Setting up and getting to the tying.

Folks crusing in and out.

Meeting new folks and some great tyers.

Getting to see old friends and spending time with folks that always make any event fun!

Disco tying popper bodies on Friday and then putting the finishing touches on said bugs on Sat.

Heading to the show with the crew....Disco, Streamer, and billres.....it don't get any better! Meeting up with croaker at the show.

Hanging at the show, running into and meeting new folks and seeing more old friends.

Looking at Damsel's impressive artwork.

Lunch at Loopies! $1.00 beers.....I can handle that!

Back to the motel to tie some more.

Pumkin and apples....one a day keeps da doc away...eh!

Calling it a night around 2 am both Friday and Sat night.

Clean up on Sunday was made much less painful by some kind folks that did a clean before we finally got to the tying room....Thanks a bunch!

Back to the show for some last minute shopping and visiting.

Thanks to Streamer for strawbossin' and setting up the whole deal with the Marriot. Thanks to everyone that made the weekend go by way too fast.

Riverman....thanks for all the info. about the stipper midge and tying instructions on that beetle!

See ya'll on the river. Let's go fishin'

Ralph

I went to the show on Friday, sat thru some seminars and enjoyed them. I got to the L & T that evening had a great time. I enjoyed meeting alot of people from the forum and watching them tie some awesome stuff! (except for that cracker belly thing)!
I slept on the floor Friday night in Smokeys room with overbrook on the sofa. It was a good time! I hope to see more next year.

It was great to be able to have that much talent in one room.
Looking at all of the beautiful bugs that were coming off the vise's
Sitting next to JT and hoping that some of that talent might rub off on me.
Comparing boo rods with PHG and Peewee.
Still trying to convince Phil that bamboo is really good and listening to his playing.
Watching the Wilhelm, the creator of the Frankenfurler at work making leaders.
Watching the "King of the Streamer" at work, and thanks for all the advice Jule.
Disco and his Hipps poppers, and having the opportunity of meeting Anthony Hipps at the show. He told me he would like to come back to the CFFC for another meeting, I really think that he wants to take some lessons from Disco.
Seeing all of the guys that I know again and meeting many new folks and having a chance to sit and visit with everyone.
And special thanks to all of you that stopped by the CFFC booth and bought raffle tickets for my bamboo rod, and Peewee if Flyrod does win this rod, I promise to build a rod for you free of charge!

JT for a hare's ear
Overbrook for hackle help
Streamer for razorblade work
Everyone for help stocking up
Disco for popper work

my first event. I was overwhelmed and had no idea of the things you guys can do in the vise. it was a great time.
Streamer thanks for introducing me around
Overbrook, thanks for the awesome instruction. your plain instructions and demonstrations made it easy for me to learn how to tie a fly.
Smokie, many thanks for your advice and letting me use your vise. I will def. give a note when I come up that way to fish.
Ditch - thanks for letting me sit next to you.
Bamboo10 it was awesome watching you spin the deer hair. I threw your fly yesterday but I think the pond is still a bit cold.

I can't wait to work on my skills and come back next year to show ya'll what i have learned.
