Monster Brown

This brown was hooked on the SOHO earlier this week.. I was using a 9' 3wt and a #24 black fly pattern when I hooked this monster....

I'm betting that beauty put a bend in your 3wt. Very nice fish.

Did you measure it? If so how big? That is a great fish.

I made a memory mark on my rod and measured it when it got home! It was 22" +/- a little. It put a huge bent in my 3wt. At that time I wished for a little larger wt rod because I worried about the health of the fish and would have been easier to land on a larger wt rod, perhaps a 5wt. But never the less it swan off a happy fish upon release....
