Morehead City/Beaufort

Heading to Morehead City area next week (9th-14th) for some kayak fishing. Anybody able to tell me what to prepare for? Any launch areas would be much help as well...

If you don't want to share with the masses a PM will work.

Thanks for any help!

Morehead info

Assume you want to be in the ocean side????...if not there is a wildlife launch area; a community ramp behind Joe Shute's shop after you cross the bridge to Atlantic Beach; and probably some other areas where you can slide a kayak in to get into water behind Morehead for reds etc.. And a couple of the motels and marinas at Atlantic Beach have launch ramps on the sound side.

On the ocean side, seems like someone posted on here that you could launch in surf the Ft. Macon area...if you don't mind a carry.

The last couple of days, the Albies have been along Atlantic Beach...down to Salter Path area...relatively close in shore. If you've got a North wind then that area is relatively sheltered and can be fairly calm.

Hope this helps some.
