I will be in the Murphy, NC area this Friday and Saturday (2/12-13). Although I don't much about the area, based on my research, there's no shortage of trout streams. I'm looking forward to fishing new waters. Anyone care to join me?

The weather is to be crappy again for a start next the water is very high. So your best bet would in all likely hood be the Nantahala DH or if the flows from the dam is down the lower section. You could also try the Hiawassee River in the area of Lance Cove, again if the water is off from the dam. They have been cutting off in the afternoon. Lance Cove would be fishable around 3pm if they stick to their recent schedule.

If the water levels cooperate, I find Fire's Creek in that area to be absolutely amazin! Haven't fished it in quite a few years, but it was WELL, WELL worth it the last time I did.
