Is a game lands license needed to fish in North Carolina?

Thanks

No. Just your appropriate Fishing license.

If you're fishing for trout on game lands, there is an extra $10 fee for the trout stamp/permit.

Go here for more info: https://www.ncwildlife.org/Apps/Purc...Selection1.asp

You can scroll through this section (without purchasing anything) to find out what you need to obtain. The licenses can be obtained in many places (Wal Mart, K Mart, Tackle Shops, etc.), so you don't have to have it mailed and wait.

Good Luck!

Actually, if you buy it online, you can print something once it is purchased that will serve as a license until the real one is received in the mail.

Cool! I didn't know that. I've got a lifetime (fishing), and haven't purchased one in over 16 years, so I'm outta the loop somewhat....
