New Mountain Blueline and Little Jewels

So, I decided to attempt a new blueline today that I spotted on the DeLorme. Tiny.

On the way there, I spotted these little jewels and took a pic before they ran off.

Then I hiked to the stream. It didn't look promising -- very tight and shallow...

I kept walking, rhododendron busting, and rock climbing. It got better --

I caught lots of little jewels like these.

All in all it was a fun trip, although I may be getting too old to do this. I still love it, though, and will keep on as long as I can. Now I'm whupped, have sore knees, and the old broken back is talking to me bad.

That is awesome! Got to love blue lines and brookies. Some of those look decent!

I am kicking myself for not getting out today. When I had last looked at the weather it looked like tomorrow would be the better day. As it turned out we have had almost no rain down here today. Oh well I got a few things taking care of around the house and I have my rain gear ready to go for tomorrow.

We have a set of twins on the farm. They're about that size too.
Good looking Brookies too.

I didn't get to go today. Baby boy has pnemonia.

New water is a lot of fun -- especially with fish like that. Nice job.
