OCT NC DH pics

NC late OCT DH trip pics
Spent last Thurs. exploring some new water with a friend I had never fished with before. We left at 7:30 AM and got back about 7:30 that evening.

We both caught a respectable number of fish and enjoyed a beautiful day on DH waters. A variety of drys and droppers were effective, but no pattern was fail-safe.

I am grateful that NC has DH waters. It is a privilige to enjoy the fish resource for 8 months. Fall is such a beautifully fantastic time of the year, especially when fly fishing.

THANKS for looking.

DH waters

"Nice pics Ben. Beautiful scenery. Did y'all catch your fish with corn or worms?"

GQ:

We tried several colors of Power Bait but those DH fish ate the hot pink Power Bait the best. We also had good luck w #12 nymphs tipped w wax worms....

Camera

Hi Matt:

Thanks for Asking about the camera...I wish, in some ways, that my camera was a DSLR. In other ways I am glad it is not.
Currently I am carrying a SonyCyber Shot that I got on Craig's list below market price. It is not waterproof and I have drowned it while fishing twice this year. The rice in a bag trick cured it both times. I am afraid that an expensive DSLR would end up wet, broken or all of the above.

What I have found is that Point and Shoot cameras offer a lot more features and options than most of us ever utilize. Kind of like our PC's.

The more I play with the settings the better the pics become. AND as we all know, digital costs nothing to shoot. I actuallly use the bracketing feature on the Program (P) setting that will shoot 3, 5 or continuous. Then when editing I have a range of exposures to choose from...Most point and shots overexpose and I don't like their "average" settings.

I am sending you a PM that will have a site where I have some galleries, most of which are fishing related. If anyone else wants to look send me a PM.
THANKS,
bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb
