Orvis Endura Stockingfoot Waders

Anyone have any experience with these?

I bought a pair to do my best to support the local fly shop. Overall the build seems real sturdy.

Hopefully someone can give me insight as to how durable these things are.

My wife has had a pair for about 2 years. Admittedly she doesn't use them all that much but so far so good. A few spills/falls and no rips, and no leaks. Our 11 year old also is starting to be able to use them. I wish I could offer you more info but like I said they have probably only been used a dozen or so times, but I agree they seem well built and from what I hear Orvis stands behind them.

I have a pair that are almost three years old. I've patched the heel on the bootie and have noticed some wear on the hip and the knee inside. I keep hoping that they'll spring a leak so that I can buy some new Simms, but they just keep going. They get used at least once a week, twice most weeks. I've been pleasantly surprised.

Good to hear. I just wanted tough, as every pair of waders i've owned has leaked within several months.

The shell of the waders seems stiffer then most, just what I was looking for to deflect branches, brush and the like. Gotta love rhodo busting.

I will add though that these things bind up your legs pretty bad due to the stiff material. Boulder hopping is a ham-string stretching excercise, but hey, if my waders won't leak, i'll be happy.

More on how they last for me, in a few months!

I've decided these waders are junk. They lasted me through the season and didn't leak. However they bind up my legs really badly even though the fit is baggy. It's really quite a chore trying to climb over boulders, fallen trees, etc. I want to be at least moderately comfortable while fishing and this is the most uncomfortable pair of waders I have ever owned.
The store I bought them from won't allow returns, so I will keep them, they would be good for any kind of fishing without climbing involved. They are for spring creek/kayak use from now on!

I complained enough to orvis that they are willing to give me a refund so it feels good that I didnt loose any money on this one. As far as customer service goes orvis is bar none in the industry. I will try some of their newer wading shoes and post a review here later.

Orvis has superb customer service

I hooked up a sweet deal last year when they were having a summer sale. Got a pair of tailwaters XT stocking waders with a free pair of studded boots thrown in. $249.99 plus tax. What a freakin awesome deal! They are warm and have been a very good purchase for me. Simms and Patagonia are the Rolls Royce of waders but I cannot see me parting with $600 just for a pair of waders. Glad to hear your experience with Orvis was good.
Cheers mate!

Waders

Orvis customer service is difficult to beat! I was connected with them for a while and saw items come in that was really worn out but the company stood behind the item. Sometimes you have to contact Orvis rather than a local dealer but you see it really paid off for you. Good fishing!

Way to Go!
