Well I've been sitting here trying to decide what to say about the Lying & Tying get together. I want to thank the strawbosses for putting everthing together. I met alot of friendly people. Looking forward to next year. I didn't take my tying stuff because I thought everone would be so much better at it than me ( which they are) but this is the time that you can learn. It won't happen next year.
A special thanks to some people like: PeeWee, a friend that I have fished with the last three years and hope to fish with many more. And to Ben a friend that I meet this year, who likes to fish when the temperature is warm. And to Blake, a guy who sit and showed me how to tye some of the special flies.
Hope to see everyone at the Spring Show. Thanks again.

All I can say is WOW!!! What an amazing group of people. Being my first lyin and tyin, I decided that I would just walk around and check things out. I actually thought that I could tie, until I saw what you guys can do with fur and feathers. The more I hang around this group, the more I understand why I do...first class ladies and gentlemen who are willing to sacrifice their time to help others learn. I got a chance to catch up with old friends, and meet some new ones.

Blake...I enjoyed our long discussion on the South Holston, and have already tied 2 dozen Puff Daddys. From talking with you, I can see why you are so well respected.
GQualls...great meeting you. looking forward to seeing you again, and talking about tying. Great beads! I'm sending some to JT. He'll love 'em.
Gary...Thanks for the extended bodied mayflies. Great Work!
Jule... You really are a true gentleman. Let me know if your son needs a summer job...I'll buy whatever materials he needs.
Collin...Amazing skills young man. Listen to your Dad.. he is a great teacher, and will teach you even more.
Kim...thanks for staying up til 3am with me.
JT...You know that I have always respected you as a fisherman and friend. You WILL be there both nights next year. It is always good to see you, and tell Saint Carol I said hi.
Overbook...great meeting you. I still can't believe that anyone can do what you do with materials.
Josh...The love and intensity you have for this sport is inspiring. You are truly a student of the sport, and it shows. I was blown away by your knowledge.
Peter...good seeing you again, and I will see you at the spring show.
Creek Scum...enjoyed catching up with you. We have had some fun trips in the past. I think about you everytime I tie with those great biots. You've got that down.

I'm sure that I have left out some people, but there was so much talent in that room..don't want to opine for too long. Can't wait til next year.. I think that I'll bring my tying stuff.

Made Friday night version of Lyin & Tyin and was it super. Great folks willing to lend a hand to help anyone with anything. Who all could I posslbly thank.

I'm glad it went so well!
I hated that I missed it ( other than a few minutes with Mrs Puddle Friday nite)....
I had planned on returning Saturday and staying , but sometimes life is what happens while you're busy making other plans.

I was there for TWENTY MINUTES......talked Glock into a tying bench, and still had time to weazel secrets out of Disco for 10 !

Looks like everyone had a great time. I would have stayed longer to tie some flies, but I had an hour drive home and my mom was wanting me home.

I'm glad that the Maharishi got enough nerve to come and tie at the show and L&T this year. I learned a lot from him myself just watching him at our table.

It was also great to see Olyns.
