Predator 8wt fly size range capabilities

So I'm going to be purchasing a bass setup very soon. I've pinned it down to getting the 8wt predator, however, I've come to a dilemma. I've narrowed down these factors, I most like will throw surface flies in size 2s and clousers and other sub-surface flies in upwards of size 2/0. I would like to use this as a redfish rod as well. Now for the dilemma, will this rod handle flies in in the size 10-6 range? Any advice, questions, or comments?

An 8 wt. can handle a 2/0 clouser, as long as the rod is at least moderately fast. Some of my salt flies are size #6. Just curious, why up to size #10?

While I probably won't use anything as small as a 10, I like to weigh my options. I guess the more I think about it, I probably wouldn't throw much smaller than 6.

Same as above. I rarely throw anything smaller than a 6 with mine. I have thrown cuda flies with double 2/0 hooks. An 8 weight is about the heaviest you would ever use for bass I would say. I usually use a stiff 6 weight- more fun with those little guys. my 6 weight will handle size 2 poppers just fine.
