I am with you on the pay pond. If my daughter and dad do not have much luck on the creek, we may be joining you and Junebug. Plus if you use small barbless hook flies it might take a LDR or two, before bringing a $4 trout in.

Is it Friday yet....
Ben...I was thinking the same thing...while trying to stick with the pink and purple theme...I still wanted to be tying flies that at least stood a chance of being eaten....here's a glimpse at some of them....

She also has a dozen and a half flies the guys from the fly shop threw in with the order...san jauns,eggs...and I'm guessing maybe pink and white clousers...and pink and purple salmon type flies..
Like I said...its a pink and purple world for her

We sure would'nt mind the company if we do need to buy a few fish....question though? I'm assuming you get to keep them...and is there anyone there to clean them or should I have a filet knife on hand?.....J is definately not in favor of the whole catch and release thing....she is catch and eat!

The pay-to-fish pond is catch and keep. They will clean them for you. I don't remember if that is part of the price.

Cool! Thanks Aaron....I would'nt even mind throwing a generous tip in for the fish cleaner....especially if they know how to butterfly them...I have'nt done it since I was a teenager...and would probably mess em' up. And like I mentioned....J surprisingly loves to eat what she catches.....You should have seen her face the first time I asked her to turn a fish back....she looked at me like I was insane!

Nice looking flies OB. My daughter and wife would love those flies. My daughter is in the same boat as yours, she loves pink and purple too. And my wife, she just like different color flies. Whenver we go to a show or shop, she is always picking up pretty looking flies. I have to say the DH fish likes them too. She always seem to be able to catch fish with them.

If you have time to tie up some more of the bead head ones.... I will gladly pay you for them this weekend. My daughter and wife would love to have some.

My wife just saw the flies and wants Junebugs box of flies. She wants to me to order the box too. Where did you get the fly box?

As for pay pond, I think they charge extra to clean. It may be included in the price per fish? And yes catch and keep only, so Junebug will have a blast. I took my wife to one a couple of years ago when she first started to fish, and had to put a limit on how many fish she could keep. Great fun for the girls.

Ben.....Ya...the females know nothing of entomology....its simply..."Oh thats a pretty fly"

The box is the small "bug luggage" box ...Cabela's sells them ...its the only pink or purple box I could find.....Wait till you see J's other goodies!

I'll be bringing my tying stuff...or least some of it...and would be happy to tie her up a few.

That would be great if you could tie some up for her, she and I would be most appreciative. I will probably will need to find pink and purple tying stuff after that. lol
