"Shangs Special"

This is a pattern I tied and have fished many times.

The fly was created by Carrie Stevens of Maine back in the 1920's.
It was named after Shang Wheeler of Stratford CT, who was a close friend of Carrie and Wallace Stevens, and spent many summers at their camp at Upper Dam in Maine.

This fly has produced some fine brook trout and landlocked salmon.
