I left home Saturday to head to Bassett to fish the Smith for the afternoon. I called Dean to see if he was going to fish, and we agreed to get together after 4:00. I fished down near Bassett for a while and caught 3 right off the bat and then it died. I met Dean (Fly Rod) a little after 4:00 and we headed upstream to a spot where I had done pretty good the last month or so. Dean hit a run downstream from me and I hit a pool upstream. I earned every fish I caught. I would catch 2 or 3 in a row and then it would die. It was like that until 8:00 or so and then they turned on for awhile. I talked to Dean on the way home and he said he got into a sulpher hatch and caught 14 in short order. I realize I have just about educated those fish in this pool and it is about time to head back to my usual summertime haunts.

Sounds like a good day for yea up there 5x but Im not sure about that fishin partner of yours.He will sore lip all the fish in the river and leave yea looking for sompin to jerk yea string.Boy I got to get back in the game --its been to long between the fishin days lately.guess Im getting ready now for some bass fishing so floated the toon today in the lake near the house.Glad you caught some fish.Be safe
