I'm really digging the Hardy Marksman I recently got. My second choice however would be TFO I love the way the rod feels and it's great when you can break a rod and have it back in one week.

I LOVE SAGE! but I have always had a thing for Orvis too. I have an Orvis TLS that I think is the best small stream rod I have ever owned.

I bought my kids a TFO and all I can say is that I am very impressed for the price.

Recently bought a 9ft 5wt sage launch. It was on sale and I like the way it casts.
My first fly rod was an american made Allstar rod. It is a 4wt. My dad bought it for me when I was a little kid and I still use it for small streams in the smokies.

I am finishing up a 4'9" Blue Ridge Bany, dark flamed, light brown wrapping w/ black tipping. Black guides and stripper guide. I think that I am getting addicted to one piece rods. This one is 1.6 oz., should be a very nice brook trout rod.

fv fly rod

i just voted and cast my vote in the other catagory...my favorite fly rod to fish with is my thomas and thomas 4wt helix...very versitle and really smooth with dry flies...my all time favorite rod is my roddy pro (made by penn) that my mom saved s&h greenstamps for over a year to purchase for me in 1960...it still sports the south bend automatic reel, too....isnt the array of rods available to us wonderful?

well my first rod was a orvis... not a bad rod but it lacked something??? Then later on after about a year and a half using that rod there along came the old Scott G and then the New scott G2..... both amazing rods scott builds good quality..... and there service is amazing! i broke the G half way down and they repaired it for no charge! Sage are also nice rods in larger weights IMHO

With the amount of money I have to spend, TFO is the choice for me. That life time warranty can't be beat either.
