Malcolm,

There's a guy with a small white pickup that lives near the end of the Cul de Sac. I'm not sure if this is the same truck you are referring to. It definitely needs a muffler.....loud. His truck has a door that's been replaced in an off color.

I'll watch a little closer and let you know what I see.

Blake,
I don't think this truck is in too bad a shape. I've seen this guy enough that I now notice him every time I see him--so no telling how many times he drove past me before I started taking stock of him.

I frequently see him on the TVA South cul de sac when I'm staying up there. I've seen him drive by me on Big Springs, Rockhold and under the Webb and Weaver Pike bridges. He just seems to be out driving around. Maybe he's bored, but it's got to be an expensive hobby with gas the way it is.

Last time I saw him, we were suiting up on TVA South two weeks ago. He turned on the road and stopped about 200 yards from us and just sat there like he was waiting for us to walk on down to the river. I walked out into the middle of the road and stared at him to make sure he knew that I was suspicious of him. He finally drove off. Now maybe he's just out looking for deer or something, but he gives me the creeps.

With the technology of GPS tracking devices it may sense to have othese put on to track them down. I dont know if you want to release these info though but I want to ask what type of vehicles were stolen and secondly most of the high end rods that wwe use have serial numbers and once stolen you could report to a rod company for future references. Be worth a try though. Also it is a sad joke that police are not upholding the laws and not doing a thing about it.

Stolen vehicle

If you guys have a name of a deputy on the Sullivan County Dept. that doesn't seem to care, get me his name on a personal message and I will follow up with the sheriff himself. Thanks,
Boxman

Matt- I have seen the white truck Malcolm is talking about. It is fairly old and is small (smaller than a Ford Ranger). It looks like an old Mazda, Toyota or possibly a Mitsubishi. I doubt that it is a TVA truck. Just my two cents.

Thanks, Beetle

It is my understanding that at least some of these thefts have been discovered rather quickly. It doesn't seem reasonable that the sniveling, rednecky thieves could have driven the vehicles very far without being discovered. How many major car theft rings could Bluff City/Hickory Tree hold for crying out loud? Somebody in that are in law enforcement has got to have some kind of an idea who is behind this. Keep us informed Bo.

Gary has definetly rattled some cages. I saw the County cops up by the weir and then saw another car going up River bend road. Gary is the man who had his truck stolen. He was been seeing all agencies involved. It has definetly made a change in activivty.
On another side note. The game warden busted another man with an illegal fish Friday. $214 fine for a fish in the slot limit.
The warden is around nearly daily now.
Good work guys.

I seen the TVA and a county sheriff at the grates sat eve. The county was there only a few minutes. On a side note the game warden got another one sunday eve too! If the key cutting is true were not dealing with stupid drugies!! To cut and program keys they have to have connections with a dealer or a good locksmith!! Do to them taking the truck and not smash and grab I vote this is a well orginized group of car thieves. My granddad lives only a few minutes from the river , he got his window bustes out and anything left loose was took. He had the same exp with the police. Acted if he was wasting their time. Even called him back and ask if he thought somebody might be pulling a prank on him. He and my mammaw walk ever morning and counted over 4 cars with the windows busted out along their walk route the next morning!!!
