A few pics from Stone Mtn. on Tuesday. I figured out what day the spin fishers go. It's on Tuesday! LOL! Good day all in all. Vaca all week, fished Mitchell with CR on Mon. Drove to Stone Mtn. that night and got a campsite. 18.00 bucks to sleep in my car. Oh well. Couple days of fun fishing!. Enjoy! These pics were with my phone. Just got my new camera today. I hear ya on the camp site prices - I took one of my girls camping for the first time (she's 4) a couple weeks ago and I was shocked - last time I went to a state-run campground the sites were $7 or $11 or something. Granted that was a few years ago but man - I had to pay $18 this time! That is a little ridiculous for a little dirt space to set up a tent, no electric or anything. You'd think they'd give you a break in the off-season (outside the Memorial Day to Labor Day period).
Separate question - do they lock the gates at Stone Mountain so you can't get out in/out during the night unless you call the sheriff or ranger? They continue to do this at campgrounds closest to me - I don't like the policy at all. I can see not letting folks in after 9pm, but not letting you out if you need it?
