Takes From The Fall Show..........
Here’s my take on the Fall Show ………….
As usual, it was good to see the regulars. It was cool to meet the new guys as well. Talented tyers, casters, fishermen. Fun to spend time with all of them.
Spaghetti, Beef Stew, Shrimp Gumbo, Bacon/Sausage/Egg Breakfast, Gooormay coffee. Thanks to DD, JT, Bamboo 10, and all the helpers for making the meals and cleaning up.
Thanks to all the Strawbosses for organizing and bein’ bosses without being Bast*#@&*s.
Fishing with Southernfly and La Trucha was a blast. Fishing and exploring with JT was a pleasure. We had as much driving around and scouting as we did fooling the fish on the Tuck.
McGinty showed up at the campfire.
I bought a print of Fleming13’s beautiful brown trout drawing. Even more dazzling up close.
We cast a boatload of rods……..long, short, heavy, light, limber, stiff, cane, ‘glass, graphite, boron………each with its own charms.
Casting elegance from Bamboo 10, and Bill Res. Powerful long distance casts from T.E. Shuler and Peddler. Accurate little darts from Brandon, Fleming 13, Pictureman, and others. Brandy and Lady Overbrook learning a little more.
Great flies to see from the vises of Fleming13, Supafly, and Overbrook. Man, some of that stuff has got to be Voodoo!
La Trucha faithfully building and maintaining a great campfire every night.
Snoring……..Lots of snoring…….
DD’s monster brown…..Attaboy DD!
Quote of the week: “Put yo’ A$$ up here in the prime position!”
Pics later.
All in all, a great weekend. It was filled with all of the things that we want from these events. Fun, fish, food, and fellowship.
Thanks, y’all. I had a blast.

What a great time! I was one of the new guys there, and I couldn't have been more comfortable. I got to hang out with a great bunch of people.
A special thanks to Creek Scum, Devinsdad and others for all of the work that went into the event. I'm sure it took a lot of time.
Thanks to JT, Bamboo 10 and Devinsdad for the food. Amazing what you guys did. Great food.
Thanks to the token Puerto Rican and resident Fire Whisperer, LaTrucha. Great fires man. You think that dude ever found Muffy?
Great to see Teachertec and Mrs. Teachertec again. Teachertec, next time we go fishing we'll leave the flasher at home. That guy has a real problem.
JT, I'm glad that you are a friendly giant. I enjoyed passing the jar to you.
Pcole, you are one of the most laid back dudes I think I've ever met. Let's fish the park when the water returns.
Bamboo 10, I'm PMing you my address for the 4 wt. I'll break down and pay the shipping.
Peddler, you live up to (or down to) your reputation. It was great to meet you.
Scubafish, thanks for finally cluing me into the fact that hot is cold and cold is hot. Who knew? Come up to the mountains and we'll fish.
SupaflyGSR, Brandywine, Tbryan and Bhall15, it was nice to meet you guys. Supafly, you'd better hold onto that girl.
Southernfly, you need to get some glasses so you don't have to stand so close to the tree to read the sign.
Overbrook and LadyOverbrook, it was nice to meet you both. Overbrook ties beautiful flies.
McStreamer, that's got to be the hardest I've laughed in a long time. You should be in the entertainment biz.
ZZDruid, thanks for taking time to fish with the new guy. I had a blast. Now lets see if we can get you some help for that little problem you have.
To anyone I missed, it was great hanging out with you. I'm already looking forward to the next show.

A great weekend as usual. It is amazing how the time flies when you have friends around you and you are having a great time.
Rain makers strike Thursday.
Thanks for the StrawBosses, they are a fine group of people.
Love to see old faces (Yes Peddler, yours too) and it is always great to see new faces.
The food, ohh, the food, it is always great! Thanks DD, Streamer and JT. Many thanks to the cook assistance, cleaning crew and those last minute volunteers.
Fishing with Southernfly, great we could do that again bud! We need to hit them smalies before they get turn off.
Fishing with Streamer, always a pleasure and a learning experience.
Thanks to Teachertec for the 2 fire pokers, I would have never been able to manage them fires on without them. Thanks for the drilling/welding tips.
Thanks to Mrs. Teachertec for great conversation at the fire.
Friday night fire UFO’s and ghost stories.
Saturday night fire great conversation and McGinty showing up.
Brandy, LadyOverbrook and Mrs Teachertec, thank you for putting up with us guys and our joke and such. All 3 of you are good in my book!
JT, thanks for the rod paste. I might finally be able to stop “spearfishing” fish with my rod tip now!
Stomp, sweet stomp.
Pictureman, nice meeting you. I do think muffy is still lost. He was calling for her Sunday also! Muffy, come back here!
There are many more people and many more memories, too many to share here. Thanks y’all for making this another memorable event.
I will get pictures and videos as soon as I can, work is calling!
Ready for the next one!
Cheers...

What a blast!! It was an absolute pleasure to meet everybody. Nice to see the real people behind the screen here. Thanks to Creekscum and DD for putting this thing together. Thanks to all the cooks and anyone who pitched in to work around camp. The weekend went very smoothly with all the help. Here are some of the better quotes.
"Dang, I should have banned Ditch before I left."
"I caught an awfull lot of streambred fish in the Nanty DH today." "You killed em I hope."
"LT, more wood on the fire man."
"Sure, make the brown man do the work."
"full contact fly fishing."
"Do they call me Mcginty the roofmaker, Ni! But...."
"You draw that?"
"You're not nearly as big a @@@@ in person as you are on the board" you know who you are.
"Jack, is the coffee ready?" "No but the orange juice is"
"Brandy gets the Peddler award."
"Gonna meet a friend of mine and take him fly fishing. Give him another expensive hobby he doesn't need."
Too much fun and not nearly enough space to share it. I can't wait till I can get back to another one. Two unfortunate things did happen, I now have the urge to tie more flies and get more fly boxes, and the bamboo bug may have bitten . I don't know if I can afford the cure! I'm gonna work on the video and post it later.
