I have the Michelin Pilot 2 CT on the front and the Bridgestone BT021 on the rear. Both have about 2000 miles on them and no appreciable wear. I'll let you know how they do come spring when I start putting the miles on them again.

I guess it's not that bad considering.
I did like the traction and performance that I got from them. From a performance standpoint, they were flawless.

Average from what I've heard is 6500 - 7500 miles per set. Motorcycle tires are extremely important to keep properly inflated - you'll wear them out much quicker if you don't. During riding season I check my pressure weekly and adjust even if a few PSI off.

Agree with the comments on softer tires gripping better but not lasting as long. On my vehicles, I'd be okay with running some harder tires to get more mileage out of them. On my bike - yeaaah, I'm gonna go ahead and run whatever grips the road the best, even if I spend more $$ more often.
