Tuesday Night Tying - New Format

Okay......after much mulling it over, here's what I've come up with:

On MONDAY nights at 7 p.m., I'll post a fly to be tied. You will have until 11:00 p.m. TUESDAY night to get it posted. We'll still want TWO pictures (not three or four from all angles!) . The first pic should be your midway progress in the fly. The second will be your finished fly.

Voting will begin at 11 p.m. on TUESDAY night and will end on Wed. night at 10 p.m.

THE PRIZE FOR THE FLY WITH THE MOST VOTES WILL BE
NOTHING!

You will, however, have more nothing than anybody else, so that's something, I guess.

Kind and constructive criticism of any entry should be welcomed by the tyers, since that's what this is all about.....improving one's tying skills and techniques. Harsh comments and a map to the meanie's house will be turned over to Lloyd/Brenda, the transvestite ex-con axe murderer who is chained in the basement and fed baby seals and kittens.

Tonight will be the last Tuesday Night Contest with the same ground rules as before. I'll post the fly at 8 p.m., and you'll have to post your entry (with TWO pics) by 9:30 p.m. tonight.

The new format will start NEXT MONDAY.

That is all.

I know winning = Nothing

And I agree we all learn from you guys ties & thank you...But I think it would be cool to put the winning fly in a picture archive similar to the one KYRachethed does.

Just my 2 cents

Blake,
You'll need the tail feathers from two different birds......the Rosy Breasted Pushover, and the Round-Heeled Mattress Back. If Rod doesn't have them, you can probably collect your own at your local tavern. But be careful! Sometimes their mates or other suitors are concealed nearby, and their defense of what they consider their "Main Squeeze" can be quite ferocious.

Regards,
Deer Hair Boy

UPDATE!!

On MONDAY nights around 6-7 p.m. I'll post a fly to be tied. You will have until 10:00 p.m. TUESDAY night to get it posted. We'll still want TWO pictures (not three or four from all angles!) . The first pic should be your midway progress in the fly. The second will be your finished fly.

Voting will begin at 10:01 p.m. on TUESDAY night and will end on WEDNESDAY night at 10 p.m.

THE PRIZE FOR THE FLY WITH THE MOST VOTES WILL BE
NOTHING!
Please be advised of the above changes to the contest schedule. If you are late submitting your fly (past 10PM on Tuesday) it's no big deal but you'll risk missing some votes and a chance at the "nothing" prize.

I hope you all will find this acceptable, my workday starts early.
Thanks,
WK
