Water Levels on the Tuck

To all,

I am going to be up near Franklin working on thursday and was hoping to get some time off to fish. I was considering hitting the Tuck on my way back to Raleigh. Looking at the release schedule and the USGS gauge site it seems that they are releasing constantly and that water levels or a foot or so higher then typical.

Can anyone confirm this? Is the wade fishing shot until they go back to a regular cycle.

Thanks,

Ron,
Durham, NC

As long as both East and West Forks are generating you can figure on it being too high. There are a few spots you can try when the water is this high, but not many and you'll need a set of strong legs.

Look for only West Fork to be running or no generation for the best wading conditions.
