Thread-6/0 black or larger
Tails-Paired wild turkey primary wing fibers from long side of feathers
Abdomen-Wild turkey tail slips tied in by tips and wrapped to build a tapered body. After wrapping the first slip, just tie down the uneven butts then tie in another slips tips atop them, wrap and so on.
Rib-Brown medium vinyl half round
Carapice-Wild turkey tail slip
Thorax-Buggy brown dubbing wrapped in a dubbing loop
Legs-Webby black saddle hackle palmered and clipped top and bottom.
Antennae-Paired wild turkey primary wing fibers from long side of feathers tied in then later doubled back.
Head-Turkey tail slip butts from carapice turned back, tied off and trimmed. Saturate entire abdomen with head cement to finish.
Fairly simple tie but I seldom have two that turn out the same
