I still like the first one the best. Patagonia was the trip I would love to tagged along on. To old and responsible to be a true 'Trout Bum' anymore I guess

Wanna be...

I agree. Patagonia was the best hands down. I own all three and Mongolia was the next very close behind. It took a lot of money to do that one but it was still cool.

The Patagonia trip you just knew they did it on a shoestring budget and ramen noodles.

Didn't care much for the Kiwi one just because it was kind of predictable and nothing exciting.

I just ordered the two by Felt Soul media. In anticipation of their new film.

I voted for the first one for "reasons already cited" (albeit not completely accurate). The kiwi thing just didn't do it for me. Still liked the first one the best although I've only watched it in it's entirety once,,,,,,,,,,I've watched Mongolia several times but ......

I guess I had "high hopes" these fish (Taimen) would be something as they were trumped up to be ( baby eaters and all that ...& bag o' chips)...........I'd still love to put those boys on some stripe (or hybrid for that matter). Lb. for Lb. I probably wouldn't know the difference other than the total experience itself. That's a huge part of it............ the ambiance.

I'd do it either way............just for the sake of doing it if I had the opportunity.......but where does it end? ( the challenge).

The experience would be more of a culture shock if we took them to some of the northeast Alabama and Tenn lakes!

The first one.

It annoys the living daylights out of my wife, so you know it must be good.

I finally saw them all, trout bums my ***. They have more money supporting them then some movie crews. I like patagonia the best. They act the most like fisherman in that one. In Kiwi Camo, they try to be more like entertaining characters and seem to talk about things, just because they "think" people will find it humorous. I think they were poisoned by the success of the first one. Mongolia had cool footage but lacked enough FISHING footage. I liked it second best to patagonia. I'll still get sucked into their next porn adventure. AEG has by far made the best fly fishing movies.

patagonia is my fav. They do more fishing in that one than the others...some awesome looking creeks and rivers too. The kiwi was my second fav...i loved the scenes but not as much fishing. The Mongolian one I thought sucked. I've watched the first two over 50 times combined...actually got one playin' right now. The music in Mongolia creeped me out and other stuff just wasn't as enjoyable as the other two. I watched it the first night I got it, thought it was horrible...gave it another shot and shut it off half way through.

I might add, I've watched em so much I don't really 'watch' them...I just let them play in the background :)

I totally agree with everyone here. Patagonia was by far the best. I want to fish one of those high meadow streams so bad, ya know the ones you can jump across, but hold fish that are 12+ inches. If anyone knows any in the US, PM me.
