I'd say only a fool thinks he can understand women....and like spiny I've had years of trying. But I still wouldn't change her and by now she's almost given up trying to change me.
I go fishing anyway...

Ain't that the truth!

Did you really think I would NOT weigh in on the argumentative side of this discussion?

FWIW, my wife does not understand women either. I think that's why we get along so well. I have a theory about that. But it's much to dangerous for me to post publicly.

I requested one day a week to flyfish three years ago and last week she asked me which day I was going this week. I've begged and tried to bribe her in many ways to join me, but she responds that it will never be her thing to hurt another creature intentionally. We respect each other and love each other. I know, I really did get lucky. It's my second marriage and her third. 14 years together and Mars is still Mars and Venus is still my favorite planet!

Interesting comments.

Much wisdom in the comments above. I wasted time for years trying to "understand" them, hoping I could then change them. Forget it. They is what they is. Enjoy.

My personal experience with marriage has been 23 years of absolute happiness/misery. For my wife and I, it took work, patience, and Jesus to seal the deal. He made the difference.

My selfishness, her craziness, both were healed by the simple truth found in Christ.

Love the one about "breasts and wheels"!

Seems to be some relative newlyweds here. My wife and I celebrated our 34th this summer. It's not been all bad.
