What a Wonderful, Wet, Wild, and Wiley Day

I hit a very small and high gradient blue line today. The fish were very active and very aggressive. They struck with great vengeance and furious anger. I have never seen bows in such a feeding frenzy.

In 3 hours, I put 12-15 wild bows in hand. I lost 2-3 and long distance released 2-3. Most were caught on dry green & tan EHC Madame X type size 14. I used the same dry all day, never tied anything else on. Caught 3 or 4 on the dropper, an olive hare's ear, then a copper john after losing the hare's ear in a tree. Sizes 14 also.

It was by far the best day I have ever had. No big fish, most about the size of the one in the pic. A few smaller ones, littlest being a 1.5 inch baby bow which was really kind of cute. I did catch 2 dace, one with very bright red stripes.

I'm excited, I have never caught that many in a day. I love wild trout.

I am keeping my location top secret.
